What we do and what we care about

We produce the highest quality tea from the best plantations, ethically sourced and available from major retailers or delivered mail order to your door.

A contribution from every box sold is donated to The Sir Bobby Robson Foundation to support their work in finding better ways to detect and treat cancer.

Retail Box - 80 tea bags

Catering pack - 1,100 tea bags

Northumberland tea is sourced from producers who strive to improve the welfare of their workers and families.  We use crops from the best plantations in Kenya, Ceylon and Assam, picked at the perfect time to ensure great quality and taste.  The most prevalent tea is 60% Kenyan, followed by 30-35% Assam, with about 5-10% Ceylon.

The reason for the fluctuation in the amounts of Assam and Ceylon depends on the time of year, and as both these areas are subject to the Monsoon (which stops EVERYTHING), we have to carry stock to maintain the quality of Northumberland Tea during times of difficult  production.

Many household-name tea bags contain reducers - poorer quality tea - to reduce costs and increase profits but Northumberland Tea is produced without reducers.
